How to check if a Korean ramen pack is halal
- Look for the HALAL logo on the pack. Check the pack in your hand, not a photo from another country, because packs made for different markets can differ.
- Ask the seller for the certificate. A seller who stocks certified products can show you the certificate. We publish ours on the certificates page.
- If neither is there, choose another pack. No logo and no certificate means you cannot be sure.
Which halal Korean ramen should you try first?
- No heat, or buying for kids: OTOKI Cheesy Cheddar.
- A little warmth: OTOKI Jin Mild.
- Spicy soup: Nongshim Shin Ramyun or OTOKI Jin Spicy.
- Spicy and creamy: Buldak Carbonara.
- Very spicy: Buldak Hot Chicken, the one behind the Buldak challenge.
